Client enters joint employer-ship with Stagecraft. We are the payroll provider, we handle all employee payroll, payroll taxes, and send out W2’s. We collect all employee paperwork, W4 and I9. We carry Colorado Unemployment Insurance and Workers Compensation Insurance as required by law.
Each account will have dedicated payroll experts to ensure your business has the most efficient system in place for stress-free, compliant payroll processing.

Are there set up fees?
No we do not charge set up fees.
What is the difference between Employer of Record and Basic Payroll?
Basic Payroll is payroll check management, tax withholdings and filings, and W2. Employer of Record is Basic Payroll plus Workmans Compensation Insurance. Employer of record can take on other employee management tasks as assigned, such as timekeeping, and other Human Resources administrative tasks.
What happens when an employee is missing a check?
A dedicated account representative will work to get the issue resolved. As a local Denver company, we can often resolve the problem and get a check out faster.
What is the payroll procedure?
First fill out the client intake questionnaire. Then provide the Stagecraft account represenitive with the email and phone number for all employees, as well as start position and pay. Electronic onboarding packets will be sent out to the crew, paper copies can be provided if necessary. Timesheets will be filled out manually (this seems to work best) and scanned and emailed to account representative(Timekeeping clients), or payroll will be submitted online (Basic Payroll). A preprocess register will be sent for approval and funds will need to be deposited ACH 48 hours before pay date.
